Hilaria Baldwin told The New York Times that she does not understand all the backlash over her heritage and says she has done nothing “wrong.” She claimed those accusing her of cultural appropriation "have been confused in some ways by people misrepresenting” her. Baldwin called the moment during her appearance on Today when she forgot the English word for cucumber a “brain fart” and said her accent depends on her emotions at the time.
