All Elite Wrestling's Double Or Nothing 2020 pay-per-view will not go down as advertised on 23 May.
The event was originally set to take place in the MGM Grand Garden Arena near Las Vegas, Nevada, but the building's parent company has now suspended all operations at their properties around the city for the foreseeable future.
"It is now apparent that this is a public health crisis that requires major collective action if we are to slow its progression," said MGM Resorts International CEO & Chairman Jim Murren (h/t Wrestling Headlines). "We will plan to reopen our resorts as soon as it (is) safe to do so and we will continue to support our employees, guests, and communities in every way that we can during this period of closure."
All that has been announced for Double Or Nothing 2020 so far is the TNT Championship Tournament finals, expected to be Lance Archer vs. Cody.
Word on how, exactly, AEW will alter the pay-per-view is yet to hit the internet. Empty arena shows are the only viable option at the moment, though they obviously won't be able to do that in the MGM Grand.
