Chelsea boss Frank Lampard looks set to pull of his second summer signing in Timo Werner, but several new faces could follow him through the door. Roman Abramovich has given Lampard a huge vote of confidence by getting out his cheque book before the opening transfer window.
The Blues have already wrapped up a deal for Hakim Ziyech, who will arrive on July 1 from Ajax.
The Stamford Bridge hierarchy are currently finalising a move for Werner after agreeing to trigger his £52million release clause.
He remains focused on finishing the Bundesliga campaign with RB Leipzig but his future now looks to be resolved.
The German international and Ziyech may not be the only new arrivals in west London this summer though.

According to The Guardian, Ben Chilwell is also a top target for the Blues.
Lampard has made it clear that he wants the left-back as part of his rebuild project.
Chilwell is said to be keen on working under the Chelsea boss.
Leicester value him around the £80million mark though, therefore he won't come cheap.

Beyond that, Chelsea are also looking to plug several gaps in their squad.
The report adds that Nathan Ake could be re-signed from Bournemouth.
Should the Cherries be relegated, the Dutchman could be available on the cheap.
Chelsea feel they need to strengthen their backline, which has let them down at points this season.
In attack, Willian and Pedro are expected to leave the club.
Pedro is in talks with Roma over a free transfer this summer.
Willian looked set to stay but is yet to agree a new deal.
Brentford's Said Benrahma is the third name that has been discussed by Chelsea as a potential option.
He could be available at around £15m due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The arrival of Werner could spell danger for several academy stars including Tammy Abraham, according to pundit Steve Nicol.
"I don’t believe Frank and Chelsea are going to change the way they play," he told ESPN.
"And you have to say that signing Werner would spell the end for Tammy Abraham. I mean goodness knows what is going through his head.
"Allegedly Frank has been telling Werner that he is going to build the team around him so you don’t build your team around a wide midfielder.
"You build through the spine so that means straight away that Tammy Abraham is in trouble.
"It’s a good move from Frank though because he is trying to take Chelsea from challenging for the top four to competing at the top for the title."
