Timo Werner is set to arrive at Chelsea this summer after the Blues agreed to activate his £53million release clause. The RB Leipzig striker is reportedly expected to triple his wages at Stamford Bridge and will be part of Frank Lampard's long-term plans for the club.
Werner has already scored 32 goals this season, with 25 of them coming in 29 Bundesliga appearances.
That formidable hit rate is sure to ease the goalscoring burden on Tammy Abraham, who has led the line for Chelsea this term.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive breakthrough campaign, scoring 15 times in 34 outings, but is likely to cede his starting berth to the German international.
Werner had looked destined to join Liverpool, making no secret that Anfield was his preferred destination, but the Reds refused to commit to a transfer.
Chelsea news: Which shirt number could Timo Werner take at Chelsea?
With the 24-year-old's release clause due to expire on June 15, Chelsea seized their chance and reportedly offered Werner a £190,000-a-week contract.
It remains to be seen which number the Leipzig forward will claim at Stamford Bridge, but there are a host of options available.
Werner has worn No 11 since moving to Leipzig in 2016, and it could be an option again at Chelsea - despite it currently being occupied.
Pedro has sported that number on his back since 2016 but is out of contract at the end of the season and expected to join Roma on a free transfer.

This would free up the new arrival's favourite shirt and is the most likely choice for Werner.
The frontman wore No 19 at former club Stuttgart but Mason Mount has that spot sewn up, unless the playmaker is promoted to a higher number over the summer.
Abraham has No 9 and is not likely to surrender it without a fight, while fellow new signing Hakim Ziyech looks set to pick up No 10 when Willian departs.
Several shirt numbers including No 6, No 14 and No 16 are all vacant in the current Chelsea squad, although they are nominally assigned to Danny Drinkwater, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Kennedy respectively.
The same is true of No 15 and No 21 with Victor Moses and Davide Zappacosta while No 23 could free up if Michy Batshuayi is sold.
Andreas Christensen has discarded No 27 in favour of No 4 while No 30 and No 32 are also available after the departures of David Luiz and Marco Amelia.
These may all become occupied over the summer with Lampard eyeing a host of other new signings as part of a major squad overhaul, while the likes of Billy Gilmour and Reece James could change shirts after their breakthrough campaigns.
Finally, No 25 and No 26 are technically up for grabs but it appears that Chelsea have unofficially retired the iconic shirts after the exploits of Gianfranco Zola and John Terry.
