Celtic boss Neil Lennon is on the lookout for an experienced goakeeper
Celtic have been backed to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo in the next transfer window. The Hoops are currently scouring the market for an experienced goalkeeper.
Fraser Forster is currently the Glasgow club's No.1 but is on loan at Parkhead from Southampton.
According to multiple reports, the Scottish champions are keen on re-signing the 32-year-old on a permanent basis.
They're also said to be looking at signing Ben Foster or Joe Hart if they're unable to secure Foster's services.
Bravo has also been touted as a possible signing for the Bhoys, who clinched their ninth title in a row earlier this month.
You do not look any further than Claudio Bravo. He has immense experience
Former Aberdeen striker Noel Whelan is a fan of Bravo, who has been playing second fiddle to Ederson for the last three seasons, and believes the veteran stopper would be a fantastic addition to the Celtic squad.
“They are looking at experienced goalkeepers," Whelan said of Bravo in an interview with Football Insider.
“Neil Lennon is looking for somebody that has got a wealth of experience.
"They want somebody that knows the game and knows how to command the back four.
“You have got to have a goalkeeper you can trust.
"It gives confidence to the back four.
"They need to know they have got somebody secure in between the sticks who is talking all the time – that comes with experience.
“You do not look any further than Claudio Bravo. He has immense experience.”
Bravo, 37, is out of contract at the Etihad at the end of the season.
The Chile international joined City in the summer of 2017 from Barcelona for a fee of £17million.
He has, however, only made a paltry 29 appearances from Pep Guardiola's side.
