Manchester United are watching Kalidou Koulibaly's situation at Napoli.

Koulibaly could become available for just £69million, says Il Mattino

The 28-year-old is said to be one of the Napoli stars who have hired bodyguards to protect themselves and their families from ultra fans following their abysmal start to the season.

Napoli are ready to part with Koulibaly for a cut-price figure of just £69m.

That could be music to United's ears after they failed to sign him in the summer with a much higher offer.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed last month: "I loved Koulibaly the man so I refused the £91m offer, but a time will come when I'll have to sell him."

Man City attacker Sterling hits out at England fans jeering Gomez

Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling hit out at England fans jeering Liverpool defender Joe Gomez last night.

Gomez was jeered by home fans during the 7-0 win over Montenegro.

It came after Gomez was left with a scratch down his face and neck when Sterling accosted him at the start of England's training camp.

The City ace subsequently sat out the Montenegro thrashing that saw England qualify for Euro 2020 as punishment.

But after the game he tweeted: "To all the England fans, I wanted to leave things as it was but tonight I have to speak again: it was hard for me to see my team-mate get booed for something that was my fault.

"Joe hasn't done anything wrong & for me to see someone who keeps his head down and work hard, especially after a difficult week, for him to be booed when he came on tonight was wrong.

"I've taken full responsibility and accepted the consequence.

"I felt as though I had to say this, get home safe everyone."

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate echoed the winger's sentiment when speaking to the media after the whistle.

He said: "I don't understand it because no England player should ever be booed.

"Joe has done nothing wrong, I've made that clear earlier in the week so I don't understand that.

"Him and Raheem are very close and the whole team are very close so we don't want to see anybody treated that way."

Chelsea choose Giroud sale; settle on price

Chelsea choose Giroud sale; settle on price

Chelsea have decided to sell Olivier Giroud in January.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Blues are willing to let Giroud leave for as little as £6million as Inter Milan prepare a January bid.

Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is looking to boost his attack options after seeing his team let a two goal lead slip against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

The 33-year-old has only played 120 minutes of football in the league this season and has surprised many by being included in the French national team ahead of Anthony Martial.

France manager Didier Deschamps has reportedly told the forward that a move would benefit him but has selected him for the upcoming international matches.

Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde: I trained with Arsenal, but...

Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde admits he could've signed for Arsenal.

Valverde revealed he trained with the Gunners before being snapped up by Real.

He told his club's TV channel: "Arsenal asked about me when I was with Penarol, and I had travelled to practise with them.

“It was very small. Sharing training with Alexis Sanchez and the fact that he came to help me with the language was something very nice."

The Uruguayan midfielder is seen as the natural successor to Ballon d'Or winner Luka Modric at the Bernabeu.

Madrid swooped to land him from his local club for a paltry £4.5million two years ago.
