As we gear up for the upcoming boat show season, beginning with the 61st annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) October 28 – Nov. 1, 2020, your health and safety as well as that of our community remains our number one priority.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, FLIBS show organizer, Informa, in coordination with its association partners, peers, venues, suppliers, contractors, health officials, and federal and local authorities, has worked diligently to develop AllSecure, a newly enhanced approach to health and safety at all of its events. These new standards have been adopted industry-wide and raise the bar on safe, hygienic, productive, and high-quality organized event experiences.
Informa and the Marine Industries Association of South Florida want to share with you what we are doing to help protect every person who attends FLIBS so you can focus on safely and confidently enjoying the event. Informa’s plan prioritizes safety and an exceptional visitor experience, but remains flexible and quickly adaptable given the rapidly changing conditions, policies, and guidelines. Organized in accordance with Informa’s newly adopted AllSecure health and safety standards, FLIBS also follows all official government and local authority guidance and regulations.
AllSecure focuses on 10 Key Commitments which emphasize enhanced cleaning and hygiene and follow the official GBAC comprehensive system of cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention, physical distancing including non-contact ticketing and registration, personal protective equipment, screening, communication and more. At FLIBS, we will undertake enhanced, deep cleaning before, during and after each day’s events to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. This includes continuous sanitation throughout the course of the boat show with a focus on high-touch areas such as door handles, restrooms and food and beverage areas.
Thank you for your ongoing support as we adjust to the new normal. We are excited to bring the marine community and boating enthusiasts back together in the Yachting Capital of the World for the 61st annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and are moving full steam ahead to ensure a robust boat show season kick-off.
For more details about Informa’s AllSecure guidelines, visit FLIBS.com or Click Here. We will also be in touch with more show updates in the next few weeks so stay tuned.
Sincerely,
