Premier League: Who's leading the Golden Boot race?

The Premier League is looking to move ctwo rounds of fixtures to allow every club the chance to have 10,000 spectators in their stadiums before the end of the season. Government restrictions have banned fans from attending matches since the major coronavirus outbreak 12 months ago.

A handful of fans were permitted entry into stadiums in 'tier two' areas in December.

But plans are being drawn up which could allow every Premier League team to have 10,000 supporters at one match before the end of the campaign, according to the Athletic.

The 37th and 38th round of fixtures have been earmarked as games that could see fans back en masse.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson laid out his road map to bring the UK out of lockdown last month.

He said up to 10,000 spectators can attended outdoor seating events from May 17 so long as certain criteria are met.

Therefore, the Premier League is looking to move the midweek fixtures from May 11 and May 12 to the following weekend of May 15 and May 16.

The 37th round of fixtures will then be pushed back to May 18 and 19 - which means fans can attend.

The season will conclude on Sunday, May 23 with another round of fixtures with fans present.
