Liverpool: Pundits discuss future of Jurgen Klopp’s squad

Liverpool host Wolves this weekend as they look to put the disappointing draw against Brighton behind them, and Jurgen Klopp appears to have been handed a huge injury boost after a crisis which left him with nine first team stars out of action at one stage.

Liverpool could have much more familiar looking side for this weekend’s clash against Wolves with two first team regulars set to return from injury.

The Reds squad has been been heavily depleted by injuries in recent weeks, with several key men missing.

At times, Jurgen Klopp has seen nine men out of action - but things appear to be on the up once again for the German.

And he could welcome back Trent Alexander-Arnold and Naby Keita as early this weekend when his side take on Wolves.

Express Sport understands that the right-back will be involved at Anfield on Sunday evening after overcoming a muscle problem he picked up during the draw against Manchester City before the international break.

Alexander-Arnold is expected to return to full training either today or tomorrow, along with Naby Keita, who has been missing since

It remains to be seen if Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson will be involved after Klopp confirmed they both sustained knocks during the win over Ajax on Tuesday.

"Robbo took a massive knock on his ankle," Klopp said. "He needed strapping at half time.

"Hendo had a proper knock on his back. Gini played game number…, I don't want to say it because I just hope he can carry on.

"[Robertson and Henderson] both played through it so I would say now we have two days more than we had last week until the next game, so I don't know exactly.

"Something might show up tomorrow slightly different but at the moment I am positive for it.

"But I don't know, but that is a problem for the next few days and not tonight."

Predicted Liverpool line up: Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Matip, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Keita, Salah, Mane, Jota.
