The final trailer for the upcoming horror movie Antlers has been released. The movie is produced by Guillermo Del Toro and is based on the legend of the Wendigo, the mythical man-eating beast that roams the woods of the Pacific Northwest.

The previous Antlers trailer that was released in October was hugely atmospheric, but didn't exactly give us many plot details. This latest promo is still very spooky but also reveals more of the storyline. Local people are getting picked up by something big and scary, and a young boy knows exactly what it is--and where it's living. Keri Russell (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) plays the boy's mom, while Jesse Plemons (El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story) is the local sheriff trying to solve the mystery. Check it out below:

Antlers also stars Scott Haze (Venom), Rory Cochrane (CSI Miami), and Amy Madigan (Fringe). It's directed by Scott Cooper, who previously helmed Black Mass and Crazy Heart, and the movie releases on April 17, 2020.

In an interview with Collider, Cooper spoke about being chosen by Del Toro to direct the movie, despite not having previously worked in the horror genre. "[Guillermo] said I've obviously never seen you direct a horror film, but there's a lot of horrific moments in your movies, so I'm more interested in someone who doesn't work in that genre to step into it," Cooper said. "Which is I guess a bit like [William] Friedkin in a sense, having not directing in that genre before he took on The Exorcist. So I find that exciting. "I was so influenced early on by the work of John Carpenter, like Halloween, or certainly The Exorcist which is a favorite of mine, or even Tarkovsky's Stalker. So I'm able to bring all of that into one film which is exciting."

Antlers isn't the only upcoming horror movie to get a scary new trailer this week. A red-band promo for the latest film in the Grudge series was also released--check it out here.

Switch's Sports Story Is A Sequel To Golf Story, And It Sounds Wild

Nintendo Switch exclusive Golf Story is getting a sequel: Sports Story. Announced via a trailer during Nintendo's latest Indie World Showcase, Sports Story expands on Golf Story's wacky take on a golf-centered game to tell an even more wild story that sees you play a wide variety of different sports.

The new Sports Story trailer, embedded below, showcases a return of Golf Story's golf mechanics and the addition of tennis, soccer, baseball, and fishing too. Like its predecessor, Sports Story will use these sports to create unique interpretations of classic RPG missions and tropes, such as dungeons, spy missions, and more. Also, like Golf Story, Sports Story will be a Switch exclusive, releasing for Nintendo's hybrid console in mid-2020.

For those who haven't played it, Golf Story is one of the best RPGs of 2017, following a man who decides to quit his job and leave his long-time girlfriend to go pursue profession golfing after having not played the sport in 20 years. The graphics, storytelling, and characters are all reminiscent of Earthbound--but instead of engaging in typical RPG turn-based battles, all of your problems are solved through golfing. And I do mean all of your problems, ranging from battling the undead to solving a Who Dunnit-style murder mystery. It's a very fun game, with excellent writing and a wonderfully humorous story.

Dauntless Is Out On Switch Today, New Expansion Coming

The loot-driven action RPG Dauntless will soon be available to take with you wherever you want. During Nintendo's last indie showcase of the year, Nick Clifford of Phoenix Labs appeared to announce that the free-to-play game is heading to Nintendo Switch extremely soon--as in, later today.

The announcement was paired with a few extra details on some events and items. The game's next expansion is Stormchasers, and will be coming to Switch as well, naturally. The studio also announced that Switch will get some exclusive and free cosmetic items: Sky Fighter armor and a Sky Metal weapon set.

Dauntless is a free-to-play game that often draws comparisons to the Monster Hunter series--essentially, you hunt down fantastical beasts for their pelts and then make wicked armor out of it. It has a different visual style than Monster Hunter, and as a live game its events work a little differently. It officially launched on consoles this year after a lengthy beta period on PC.

"Dauntless is clearly an experience that has been optimized to deliver the most stress-free multiplayer session possible," Ginny Woo said in GameSpot's Dauntless review. "From the seamless crossplay to the way that anyone can hop into a game and confidently take up arms against formidable foes, it’s refreshingly accessible and looks great to boot. While it can feel a little empty, and there are bugs that mar the experience here and there, its fresh look and lively spark are more than enticing enough to warrant a spin."
