There's nothing stronger than a mother-daughter's bond.
Ever since Mackenzie McKee and Angie Douthit first appeared on MTV's 16 and Pregnant, fans knew that that the pair had a very special relationship.
It only grew as Mackenzie landed on Teen Mom 3 and most recently Teen Mom OG. As she documented her life in front of MTV cameras, however, the proud mom couldn't help but open up about her own mother's health struggles.
And unfortunately, Angie's long battle with brain cancer came to an end this week.
"Momma @angiedouthit has crossed the finish line. She did not lose the battle, she one. She is healed and running in heaven in eternity. Idk anyone who left earth with such an impact," Mackenzie shared on Instagram early Tuesday morning. "Your entire life you never waisted a chance to let the world know Gods love. When we would try to brag on what an amazing person you are you would respond with, ‘It's not me, it's God.'"
She added, "Could you imagine this world if we all lived like Angie Douthit?"
Shortly after the news was revealed, her co-stars took to Instagram and shared well wishes.
Take a look back at just some of Mackenzie's heartfelt words and special moments with her mom over the years in our gallery below.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mackenzie's family during this difficult time.
Season 17 of The Voice is winding down, and that means the coaches are at the point where they don't feel like they have to do much coaching.
At least that's how Gwen Stefani feels.
"At this point, and even like last week, I mean nobody's flawless but it felt flawless. There was nobody that wasn't so good that it was shocking me," she told E! News after last night's performance show. "So all I'm doing right now is like a cheerleader, you know what I mean?"
She says she's even learning from the contestants at this point, because they're under a kind of pressure she feels she's not so good at dealing with.
At this stage in the competition, the singers might not need help with the actual singing, but song choice is everything.
"You're thinking about their voice, but you're also thinking about what will be effective in a two minute presentation," John Legend says. "If the audience will know the song, if it takes advantage of the right parts of their voices, has enough dynamic to show off how good of a singer they are..."
Some songs might be right for an album, he says, but not a live competition.
Blake Shelton says he's really unsure about which of the final eight will make it into the final four in tonight's elimination show...aside from Team John's Katie Kadan, who's been bringing the house down since the beginning of the season.
Shelton has two contestants left, Kat Hammock and Ricky Duran. Legend has three, including Kadan, Marybeth Byrd, and Will Breman. Stefani has Rose Short, and Kelly Clarkson has Jake Hoot and the duo Hello Sunday. We could easily be in for a final four including a member of every team, or there could be only two teams remaining in the finale.
Hit play above to hear more from the coaches, and see below for all the remaining finalists!
The Voice determines the final four tonight at 9 p.m. on NBC.
E! and NBC are both part of the NBC Universal family.
“Lady Gaga is talking to Christian again, but as friends,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively. “There is nothing going on there.”
Gaga, 33, is chatting with her former flame after calling off their engagement in February, but the insider tells Us that “she is not seriously dating anyone right now.”
Us confirmed the “Shallow” singer and talent manager’s split in February after rumors of a breakup started swirling when Gaga attended the 2019 Grammy Awards solo on February 10 — without her pink engagement ring on her finger.
In June, she briefly addressed the split during a concert in Las Vegas saying, “Last time I sang this song, I had a ring on my finger, so it’ll be different this time.” The New York native then sang, “Someone to Watch Over Me.”
In November 2018, Us confirmed that the duo had secretly gotten engaged over the summer. Gaga didn’t confirm the engagement herself until October of that year when she called Carino, 50, her fiancé at the 25th annual Elle Women in Hollywood event.
Us broke the news that the Grammy winner was in a relationship with her talent agent in February 2017 after they were seen kissing prior to her Super Bowl LI halftime show in Houston. After two years together the couple went their separate ways, with Gaga going on to date for three months. The monitor engineer was first linked to the singer when they were spotted sharing a kiss in the Studio City neighborhood of California in July.
They kept their relationship private, but Gaga did reveal she was “a single lady” on October 18 in an Instagram Story post.
For his part, Carino started dating publicist six months after his split from the American Horror Story actress, Us exclusively reported in August.
